Kim Alboum is Director of Shelter Outreach at BISSELL Pet Foundation and the former North Carolina state director for The Humane Society of the United States.
Alboum has broad experience working for animals., including as a board member for the Puppy Mill Awareness Day Organization, which was founded to raise public consciousness of the cruelties associated with mass production puppy factories. The organization initially focused on Lancaster County, Pa., notorious for its large number of backyard breeders, and then expanded to address puppy mill concerns nationwide. She has assisted shelters and law enforcement across the country to address puppy mills seizures, hoarding cases, and animal cruelty issues.
